The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barnabas Malborn made a kick off. Großbuch FC's Arvid Schießl got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Arvid Schießl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebald Lafontaine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amir Hermann charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Köstersweg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
