Elis Wolff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Bökenförde got a freekick which was hit by Joschka Knoeringen. Niko Möhring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elis Wolff having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joschka Knoeringen in the 26th minute of play forced Wülfing's goalkeeper Elis Wolff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wülfing's zone, Niko Möhring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elis Wolff came out of the goal and Niko Möhring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elis Wolff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horatio Stoletzky, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Friedrich Paun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Malte Steenblock made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joschka Knoeringen was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Wülfing defense, Joschka Knoeringen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elis Wolff.
