In the 3rd minute Ettore Marohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kilian Machleid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Badenhausen FSV's goalkeeper Marek Reiners had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilbert Holzapfel. Hilbert Holzapfel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marek Reiners tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilbert Holzapfel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marek Reiners having to make a save. Eschenstruth's Che Jannasch got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Badenhausen FSV's Friedhelm Ulbrich got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Badenhausen FSV's Marek Reiners got control of the ball when Hilbert Holzapfel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Hilbert Holzapfel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eschenstruth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilbert Holzapfel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Badenhausen FSV getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Radomil Blacha hit a great ball. With his leg Marek Reiners managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Eschenstruth's Hilbert Holzapfel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th match minute, Badenhausen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Orth to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Brandon Glatzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Eschenstruth's goalkeeper Kilian Machleid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Günter Erler made a precise shot to the right of Marek Reiners. Badenhausen FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Eschenstruth fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Eschenstruth's Günter Erler got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Badenhausen FSV's zone, Günter Erler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Reiners came out of the goal and Günter Erler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Günter Erler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brandon Glatzel was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Badenhausen FSV defense, Günter Erler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marek Reiners. The Badenhausen FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Reiners should have stopped the shot. Badenhausen FSV's Marek Reiners played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günter Erler in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Eschenstruth getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Marcel Muchow hit a great ball. Hilbert Holzapfel might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marek Reiners. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hilbert Holzapfel ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Eschenstruth getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hilbert Holzapfel hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Eschenstruth's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Glatzel came free, but Kilian Machleid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Günter Erler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marek Reiners read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Günter Erler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Günter Erler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marek Reiners tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Che Jannasch took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marek Reiners. Marek Reiners dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Marek Reiners made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Plehn in the 91st minute of play. With a little luck, Eschenstruth's Kilian Machleid got control of the ball when Radomil Blacha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Che Jannasch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
