Hans Endraß didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Helmerkamp FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samon Maeth was slow to take the kick. During this time Pommes FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Samon Maeth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Helmerkamp FC's Max Breuler did a great save. Pommes FC's Karsten Rüddenklau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orson Kiefer in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Orson Kiefer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karsten Rüddenklau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Hausotter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Max Breuler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Breuler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Hausotter, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jean Hausotter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Breuler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Kilian Schur kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Gerd Döll came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Pommes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerd Döll couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, Jean Hausotter dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Max Breuler, 2-0. Karsten Rüddenklau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orson Kiefer in the 45th minute of the match. Jean Hausotter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Max Breuler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean Hausotter to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Manuel Schäfer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helmerkamp FC and the Pommes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Helmerkamp FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Manuel Schäfer hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Pommes FC's Jean Hausotter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Max Breuler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Axel Alembert hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Gerd Döll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean Hausotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Breuler having to interfere. In the 76th minute Gerd Döll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Breuler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helmut Gulatz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute of the match Cornelis Kippert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karsten Rüddenklau skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Alembert got free with Karsten Rüddenklau in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the game, Pommes FC's Gerd Döll nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Max Breuler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Pommes FC's Jean Hausotter got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gerd Döll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Breuler was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
