After a rather tough play, Besiktas JK's Marian Buhisan got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute of the match Zlatan Ehrmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philipp Boschbach skillfully saved the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Philipp Boschbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philipp Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Philipp Hermes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Schiplage FSV's zone, Marcus Klack stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drago Göttling came out of the goal and Marcus Klack tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Schiplage FSV defense, Till Ott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Drago Göttling. The Schiplage FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Drago Göttling should have stopped the shot. If Philipp Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Besiktas JK's goalkeeper Philipp Boschbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tibor Bunischew. 71 minutes in the game, Philipp Hermes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Philipp Boschbach having to interfere. When Tibor Bunischew came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Schiplage FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Bunischew couldn't finish the play. If Tibor Bunischew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Klack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drago Göttling having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Schiplage FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Klack came free, but Drago Göttling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Klack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
