But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Karger couldn't finish the play. Sylvain Erhart kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Karger got free with Sepp Weege in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Derndorf FSV booed when Dörpinghausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vadim Elias didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Dörpinghausen were the better team. Dörpinghausen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
