In the 19th minute Reiner Wohlfart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Schreier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gordon Schmitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reiner Wohlfart was the one to do the kick off. Dieter Wachsmann's late challenge caught a KGB Pool Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieter Wachsmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of KGB Pool Club booed when German Spartan Stuttgart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordon Schmitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Schreier having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, KGB Pool Club's goal looked a bit too open when Reiner Wohlfart came free, but Dirk Schreier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Appelt in the 66th minute of play forced German Spartan Stuttgart's goalkeeper Niclas Krause to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Eduard Stenzer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KGB Pool Club and the German Spartan Stuttgart players grew even worse after the yellow card. KGB Pool Club's Dirk Schreier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save KGB Pool Club from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew the final whistle, KGB Pool Club could leave the field as winners, despite German Spartan Stuttgart having more of the ball for most of the match.
