Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Thorsten Wolfstein started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Joachim Appelt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Übach-Palenberg's Derk Blassen. Derk Blassen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the match, FC Übach-Palenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Appelt came free, but Derk Blassen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Theophil Frey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, KGB Pool Club's Guillaume Ressemann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Stenzer in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derk Blassen saved FC Übach-Palenberg from getting behind. Adrian Neugebauer kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dirk Schreier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolf Frings in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, KGB Pool Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Droste to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Frings recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dirk Schreier made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Rolf Frings sent off a good shot on target. FC Übach-Palenberg's Rolf Frings got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee gave KGB Pool Club a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guillaume Ressemann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Übach-Palenberg's Derk Blassen. 0-2. Joachim Appelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

KGB Pool Club's Dirk Schreier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorsten Wolfstein in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Thorsten Wolfstein made a precise shot to the right of Dirk Schreier. KGB Pool Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in KGB Pool Club's zone, Thorsten Wolfstein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk Schreier came out of the goal and Thorsten Wolfstein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolf Frings struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Dirk Schreier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Übach-Palenberg. Christian Schmotz charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Schmotz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the match, KGB Pool Club's goal looked a bit too open when Thorsten Wolfstein came free, but Dirk Schreier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Eduard Stenzer managed to get in a good position for a shot. KGB Pool Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Stenzer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derk Blassen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Thorsten Wolfstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Schreier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Stenzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joachim Appelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derk Blassen having to interfere. Eduard Stenzer struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Derk Blassen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KGB Pool Club. With his leg Derk Blassen managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when KGB Pool Club's Eduard Stenzer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thorsten Wolfstein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Schreier having to interfere. The KGB Pool Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KGB Pool Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
