The audience thought a goal was coming when Christoph Benken got free with Aaron Hermbusch in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tjark Orth might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arthur Horsmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tjark Orth ran back to his position shaking his head. Pablo Kugler scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arthur Horsmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Elvis Wallenhorst kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aaron Hermbusch. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. When Bartolo Siegert fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Niederscheid's protests and gave Bartolo Siegert a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Niederscheid got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Siegert. Quint Leutheusser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sauerkraut F.C.'s Arthur Horsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tjark Orth in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Wallenhorst in the 40th minute of play forced Niederscheid's goalkeeper Aaron Hermbusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Niederscheid got a freekick which was hit by Christian Schneller. Niederscheid's Aaron Hermbusch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Wallenhorst in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tjark Orth made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Schüle during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Christoph Benken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Hermbusch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Wallenhorst in the 58th minute of play. Christian Schneller kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Niederscheid's zone, Elvis Wallenhorst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Hermbusch came out of the goal and Elvis Wallenhorst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Niederscheid's goal looked a bit too open when Elvis Wallenhorst came free, but Aaron Hermbusch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pablo Kugler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niederscheid were furious when Eduard Nawrath was red carded, 70 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Niederscheid:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sauerkraut F.C.:s goal. Tom Rieger walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sauerkraut F.C.'s Elvis Wallenhorst got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aaron Hermbusch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Wallenhorst in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Wallenhorst in the 80th minute of play forced Niederscheid's goalkeeper Aaron Hermbusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elvis Wallenhorst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute of the match Olaf Singler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Hermbusch showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Quint Leutheusser was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pablo Kugler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Arthur Horsmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erhard Groppe charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erhard Groppe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sauerkraut F.C.'s Erhard Groppe got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sauerkraut F.C.'s zone, Sam Schüle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Horsmann came out of the goal and Sam Schüle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Christoph Benken put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Hermbusch. When the referee ended the match the Sauerkraut F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
