FC Fabian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Pathe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Notwende FC's zone, Felix Pathe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kai Schorling came out of the goal and Felix Pathe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kai Schorling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sascha Brandmann in the 11th minute of the match. Berthold Klähr's late challenge caught a FC Fabian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berthold Klähr helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Notwende FC! The referee gave FC Fabian a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jo Tamme, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Notwende FC's Kai Schorling. 0-1. If Alexander Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Ziervogel during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kai Schorling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Pathe in the 52nd minute. When Felix Pathe came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Fabian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Pathe couldn't finish the play. After having played for 62 minutes, Sascha Brandmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sascha Brandmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Schorling having to interfere. When the match was over FC Fabian could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Notwende FC throughout the match.
