The coaching staff of FC Sieversen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Helmut Sauer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, FC Sieversen's Helmut Sauer got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Sieversen's zone, Udo Maaßen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Butzer came out of the goal and Udo Maaßen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC Sieversen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Jakob Baston scored to the left of an out of position Roman Butzer, making the score, 0-1. After 61 played minutes FC Bayern Regensburg got a freekick which was hit by Markus Katzwinkel. Albrecht Eilenfeldt took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Butzer. Roman Butzer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the final whistle sounded FC Bayern Regensburg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Sieversen.
