The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erno Strunk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Adam Rüdiger made a huge save. A hard shot 19 in the game by Erno Strunk from a close distance when the talented Adam Rüdiger managed to make a qualified save. fc.leverkusen's players were relieved. Theo Amberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Adam Rüdiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelaziz Nauth, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Abdelaziz Nauth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Schieske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Schleipfen FC's Jesko Nachtwei got a free kick in the 41st minute. Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Ganea in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdelaziz Nauth to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Schleipfen FC's Klemens Schuhmacher got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Björn Schieske had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Theo Amberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71stth minute of the game Erno Strunk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fc.leverkusen's Adam Rüdiger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Schleipfen FC's Theo Amberger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adam Rüdiger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Adam Rüdiger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Amberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Schleipfen FC defense, Björn Schieske kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert. The Schleipfen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert should have stopped the shot. Abdelaziz Nauth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf-Rüdiger Feiert having to interfere. Adam Rüdiger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Amberger in the 85th minute of play. fc.leverkusen's Adam Rüdiger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Amberger in the 90th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Schleipfen FC could leave the field as winners, despite fc.leverkusen having more of the ball for most of the match.
