Heinrich Laipple came out of the goal and Herbert Westermayer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andreas Bismarck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heinrich Laipple showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Westermayer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Dave Konieczny hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match.

52 minutes into the match, Andreas Bismarck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Suavi Özhan. Unterrothhof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Bismarck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Andrez Van De Putts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrich Laipple having to interfere.
