Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stephan Held took the kick off in the first half of the match. Renato Kirschner came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Starbach FSV's Stephan Held. But to his dismay, Stephan Held quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stephan Held in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renato Kirschner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Garener Nieholt FSV getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ewald Kurz hit a great ball. Erich Weinmann struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Mirko Schilling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garener Nieholt FSV. Mirko Schilling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erich Weinmann in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stephan Held in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Kirschner saved Garener Nieholt FSV from getting behind. Mirko Schilling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erich Weinmann's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute of the match Starbach FSV got a corner. Garener Nieholt FSV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Philip Wichter ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Philip Wichter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Garener Nieholt FSV's Renato Kirschner did a great save. In the 28thth minute of the game Stephan Held who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garener Nieholt FSV's Renato Kirschner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hans Gläsel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stephan Held sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If David Noll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, Ewald Kurz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garener Nieholt FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Starbach FSV the free kick. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garener Nieholt FSV's goalkeeper Renato Kirschner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Renato Kirschner came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Starbach FSV's Stephan Held. But to his dismay, Stephan Held quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Garener Nieholt FSV players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Starbach FSV were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erich Weinmann made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Stephan Held's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renato Kirschner was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Moritz Maier kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Noll got free with Renato Kirschner in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erich Weinmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mirko Schilling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stephan Held had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Garener Nieholt FSV's zone, Stephan Held stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Kirschner came out of the goal and Stephan Held tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes, Gottlieb Piller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garener Nieholt FSV and the Starbach FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garener Nieholt FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor Besken in the 69th minute of play forced Starbach FSV's goalkeeper Mirko Schilling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilja Pingel kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When Erich Weinmann came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Garener Nieholt FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erich Weinmann couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Stephan Held rounded Garener Nieholt FSV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. David Noll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Kirschner having to interfere. Renato Kirschner didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Renato Kirschner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephan Held, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hans Gläsel hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Starbach FSV left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Garener Nieholt FSV.
