Holger Krankenbroker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Lösch's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Gernot Maurer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Holger Krankenbroker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uwe Pahlmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Béla Wörner hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brink's zone, Mathias Lösch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Krankenbroker came out of the goal and Mathias Lösch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uwe Pahlmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Holger Krankenbroker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sv Luhmühlen 22's Mathias Lösch in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brink's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute, Xerxes Wilhelm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathias Lösch spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Brink's goal. Mathias Lösch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Uwe Pahlmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brink's Holger Krankenbroker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Lösch in the 39th minute of play. Uwe Pahlmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Holger Krankenbroker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Lösch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Holger Krankenbroker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Lösch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uwe Pahlmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Brink's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Lösch came free, but Holger Krankenbroker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benny Karrenbauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Benny Karrenbauer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tobi Nauth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ole Fenstermacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobi Nauth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole Fenstermacher in the 84th minute of the match. When Mathias Lösch came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sv Luhmühlen 22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Lösch couldn't finish the play. Mathias Lösch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Holger Krankenbroker having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Brink's Lorenz Strutz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sv Luhmühlen 22 were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Brink's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hansel Gemar took the corner. Sv Luhmühlen 22's Hansel Gemar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Holger Krankenbroker in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 96th minute Uwe Pahlmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Krankenbroker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sv Luhmühlen 22 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Brink to win.
