Victor König started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Klein Kühren's goalkeeper Gary Wilhelm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Freiburg III's Jork Garske got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gary Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jork Garske, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Koss who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Ekin Lücker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rene Koss did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Ekin Lücker 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Klein Kühren's zone, Jork Garske stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gary Wilhelm came out of the goal and Jork Garske tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dietrich Hubner in the 27th minute of play forced SC Freiburg III's goalkeeper Ekin Lücker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, SC Freiburg III was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Krotz to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Rene Koss sped through SC Freiburg III's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ekin Lücker. 35 minutes into the match, Klein Kühren's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Hellmann came free, but Gary Wilhelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 played minutes, SC Freiburg III's Theodor Bade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gary Wilhelm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Freiburg III reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dietrich Hubner to make the kick off. Klein Kühren's Gary Wilhelm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Klein Kühren from getting a goal against them. Gary Wilhelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor König in the 62nd minute of the match. Dirk Saborowski charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dirk Saborowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor König in the 88th minute of play forced Klein Kühren's goalkeeper Gary Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
