Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ernst Zug got the match started through his kick off. Manuel Fremd struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Winfried Keiderling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erberich. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Zug in the 6th minute of play forced Nöttens's goalkeeper Winfried Keiderling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Reinhard Kobe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Nöttens's Derek Nelius slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Radenko Dirkes. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Ulrik Duttlinger hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Janssen in the 29th minute of play forced Nöttens's goalkeeper Winfried Keiderling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Erberich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Zug to maneuver through the defense. Joachim Wessel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Winfried Keiderling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Zug in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Nöttens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Duttlinger to maneuver through the defense.

In the 53rd minute, Ernst Zug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erberich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 56th minute, Christian Kahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erberich's Radenko Dirkes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfons Reininger in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Nöttens's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Zug came free, but Winfried Keiderling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pitt Klesper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Winfried Keiderling having to interfere. Pitt Klesper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Winfried Keiderling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Reinhard Kobe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nöttens's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinhard Kobe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radenko Dirkes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernst Zug struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Winfried Keiderling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erberich. In the 90th minute, Oskar Goetsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernst Zug recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Hug kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
