In the 37th minute, Emanuel Wiech got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Frank Posch fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borussia Dortmund's protests and gave Frank Posch a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Frank Posch. Emanuel Wiech kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Marc Breitmeier got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 71st match minute, Nonnenwald FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Engelbert Gerlach to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Nonnenwald FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Eckhardt came free, but Ralph Blask reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Philippe Schörnig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Türke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philippe Schörnig in the 95th minute of play. Nonnenwald FC played a much better game than Borussia Dortmund and deserved their victory. The Borussia Dortmund players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
