The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sid Schapiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pal Poreski. Red Bull Stuttgart's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Stuttgart's Jasper Boxberger got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Christian Woltera came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Red Bull Stuttgart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Woltera couldn't finish the play. Christian Woltera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Red Bull Stuttgart getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Täve Balken hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gero Steinbrück in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pal Poreski saved Red Bull Stuttgart from getting behind. The supporters of Kramerhof FSV booed when Red Bull Stuttgart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jasper Boxberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gero Steinbrück fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pal Poreski having to interfere. Arthur Femmer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 28 minutes into the match, Red Bull Stuttgart's goal looked a bit too open when Gero Steinbrück came free, but Pal Poreski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gero Steinbrück managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kramerhof FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Gero Steinbrück was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pal Poreski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Kramerhof FSV's Sid Schapiro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Silvain Gotschika stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Woltera's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Kai Cuntze hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Arthur Femmer charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arthur Femmer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kramerhof FSV getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Arthur Femmer hit a great ball. Silvain Gotschika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Woltera, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st play minute Arthur Femmer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pal Poreski. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Bull Stuttgart's goalkeeper Pal Poreski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pal Poreski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gero Steinbrück in the 53rd minute of the match. Gero Steinbrück's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pal Poreski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. If Gero Steinbrück had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Täve Balken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Gero Steinbrück ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pal Poreski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gero Steinbrück in the 65th minute of play forced Red Bull Stuttgart's goalkeeper Pal Poreski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pal Poreski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Arthur Femmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull Stuttgart's zone, Gero Steinbrück stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pal Poreski came out of the goal and Gero Steinbrück tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Arthur Femmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kramerhof FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Femmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Jasper Boxberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Sid Schapiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pal Poreski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. There was no doubt that Kramerhof FSV were the better team. Kramerhof FSV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
