Hellerhof's Otto Capezzuto managed to work through Brömmlinghook's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Otto Capezzuto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 25 minutes into the match, Sven Selinger notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hellerhof's Edgar Gronau. Edgar Gronau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sven Selinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Gronau having to interfere. After 48 played minutes, Brömmlinghook's Friedel Krieger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgar Gronau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brömmlinghook reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinand Rolshausen to make the kick off. Edgar Gronau made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ferdinand Rolshausen sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferdinand Rolshausen in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Gronau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th match minute, Brömmlinghook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Oberlack to maneuver through the defense. When Otto Capezzuto came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Hellerhof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Capezzuto couldn't finish the play. Lukas Aulert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kilian Pietsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Rolshausen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven Selinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Edgar Gronau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hellerhof's zone, Ferdinand Rolshausen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Gronau came out of the goal and Ferdinand Rolshausen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Gronau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aimé Braun-Seitz's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lukas Aulert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hellerhof's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukas Aulert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kilian Pietsch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Ferdinand Rolshausen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar Gronau. The goal made the score 0-2. Marcus Oberlack hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Lukas Aulert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kilian Pietsch having to interfere. Ferdinand Rolshausen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Edgar Gronau made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Brömmlinghook left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hellerhof.
