A wasted opportunity for Marpingen FC. 1.SSV Heimelf's Tommaso Hörnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save 1.SSV Heimelf from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Marpingen FC's Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommaso Hörnes. That made the score 0-3 after 62 minutes of play. Austin Brüggmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Riester's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Raphael Fickert got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder. Kassian Knapp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tommaso Hörnes made a huge save. Benno Rehm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Björn Riester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Benno Rehm put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Austin Brüggmann. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marpingen FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
