Rolf Hartmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Toni Unger hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Josef Hinz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rolf Hartmann made a huge save. Otto Bear's Rolf Hartmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Riester in the 20th minute of play. Armin Bittscheidt kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of 1.SSV Heimelf booed when Otto Bear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toni Unger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Benno Rehm made a precise shot to the right of Rolf Hartmann. Otto Bear's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Benno Rehm's late challenge caught a Otto Bear's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benno Rehm helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 1.SSV Heimelf's Benno Rehm got a free kick in the 30th minute. Benno Rehm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Hartmann having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armin Bittscheidt to make the kick off. Björn Riester scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolf Hartmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Björn Riester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes, Engelbert Beckmeyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1.SSV Heimelf and the Otto Bear players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Uwe-Jens Westermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1.SSV Heimelf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Benno Rehm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute.
