Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5611, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Marpingen FC's Andre Görtzen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Beushausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bertil Hirt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Marpingen FC's goalkeeper Austin Brüggmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bertil Hirt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paolo Strasser during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Marpingen FC booed when Speedstars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Strasser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johann Ansmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Speedstars's Paolo Strasser seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paolo Strasser the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Speedstars protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paolo Strasser had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Speedstars! Siegfried Meist shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ali Beushausen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kassian Knapp in the 23rd minute of the match. Ali Beushausen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Görtzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Beushausen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Thiel in the 27th minute of play. When Marpingen FC's Kassian Knapp in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Speedstars's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute of the match Götz Parpart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ali Beushausen skillfully saved the ball. Denny Maschotta charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denny Maschotta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Speedstars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denny Maschotta to maneuver through the defense. Ali Beushausen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torben Metz in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Beushausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Görtzen in the 44th minute of play forced Speedstars's goalkeeper Ali Beushausen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Torben Metz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Beushausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Denny Maschotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Andre Görtzen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marpingen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Görtzen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Beushausen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Beushausen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter-Stefan Seelenbinder ran back to his position shaking his head. Kassian Knapp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ali Beushausen made a huge save. Bertil Hirt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Görtzen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ali Beushausen came out and tried to block the shot, but Andre Görtzen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 62nd minute. Andre Görtzen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ali Beushausen made a huge save. In the 68th minute Andre Görtzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Beushausen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Beushausen made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Andre Görtzen sent off a good shot on target. 74 minutes into the game, Marpingen FC's Raphael Fickert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Beushausen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Bertil Hirt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Marpingen FC's Andre Görtzen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ali Beushausen. That made the score 0-3 after 83 minutes of play. Speedstars's Ali Beushausen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Speedstars from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute of the match, Kassian Knapp got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ali Beushausen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Marpingen FC's Andre Görtzen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Marpingen FC's Austin Brüggmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Hirt in the 96th minute of play. The Speedstars supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marpingen FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Marpingen FC.
