Spectators: 7099 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Björn Riester started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Björn Riester's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Borkmann was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Benno Rehm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Josef Borkmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1.SSV Heimelf's Björn Riester got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josef Borkmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benno Rehm in the 24th minute of play. When Björn Riester came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the 1.SSV Heimelf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Riester couldn't finish the play. In the 27th match minute, TuS Grevenbroich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Orthaus to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, 1.SSV Heimelf's Benno Rehm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Borkmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Benno Rehm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Björn Riester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Josef Borkmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benno Rehm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Borkmann having to interfere. If Benno Rehm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Szesni during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Walter Szesni hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Björn Riester in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josef Borkmann saved TuS Grevenbroich from getting behind. Björn Riester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Borkmann having to interfere. Josef Hinz hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute of the match Walter Szesni shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommaso Hörnes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Ned Fehrmann made a precise shot to the right of Tommaso Hörnes. 1.SSV Heimelf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 78th match minute, 1.SSV Heimelf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Riester to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Benno Rehm notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of TuS Grevenbroich's Josef Borkmann. Josef Borkmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. TuS Grevenbroich were victorious despite being under pressure from 1.SSV Heimelf for much of the match.
