Enriko Stoletzky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slaven Hörster, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Jens Eberhard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes of play 1.FC Magdeburg's Leonhard Bloch was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 64 played minutes 1.FC Magdeburg got a freekick which was hit by Leonhard Bloch.
