Yannik Manzewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas von Gartzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by René Wehner during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to TV Breuberg getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. René Wehner hit a great ball. After 18 played minutes, 1.FC Union Berlin's Egmund Weiß shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yannik Manzewski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 1.FC Union Berlin reached it. Siegmund Splett came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by TV Breuberg's Jannick Wolf. But to his dismay, Jannick Wolf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 1.FC Union Berlin's Elvis Freese got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jannick Wolf sped through 1.FC Union Berlin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Siegmund Splett. Jannick Wolf's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siegmund Splett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jannick Wolf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, 1.FC Union Berlin's Andreas Papies ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yannik Manzewski. Yannik Manzewski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Yannik Manzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Freese, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Andreas von Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Yannik Manzewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yannik Manzewski made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Egmund Weiß sent off a good shot on target. TV Breuberg's Yannik Manzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Freese in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, TV Breuberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by René Wehner to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Elvis Freese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannik Manzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, TV Breuberg's goal looked a bit too open when Elvis Freese came free, but Yannik Manzewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jannick Wolf in the 88th minute of play forced 1.FC Union Berlin's goalkeeper Siegmund Splett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas von Gartzen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Yannik Manzewski made a huge save. Jens-Erik Gerig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Siegmund Splett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. TV Breuberg had won after a very even match.
