The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY 67 defense, Roman Babel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geert Tippelt. The GALATASARAY 67 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geert Tippelt should have stopped the shot. A collision led to GALATASARAY 67 getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Oswald Austin hit a great ball. Geert Tippelt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Babel's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Götz Pengel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Uwe Thömmes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 12th minute, Roman Babel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 minutes, Roman Babel made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. GALATASARAY 67's Geert Tippelt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Roman Babel notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of GALATASARAY 67's Geert Tippelt. Geert Tippelt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The GALATASARAY 67 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TuS Schönenberg were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswald Austin was the one to do the kick off. Roman Babel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geert Tippelt having to interfere. Roman Babel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Geert Tippelt made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, TuS Schönenberg's Roman Babel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geert Tippelt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Nikolaus Viehl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Babel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Geert Tippelt made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Olaf Voß got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TuS Schönenberg's Uwe Thömmes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswald Austin in the 68th minute of play. Uwe Thömmes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolaus Viehl in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, TuS Schönenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olaf Voß to maneuver through the defense. Roman Babels short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Geert Tippelt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Uwe Thömmes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Götz Pengel, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th minute, Joe Schenk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Götz Pengel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Uwe Thömmes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The TuS Schönenberg fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when TuS Schönenberg's Roman Babel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Uwe Thömmes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald Austin in the 96th minute of the match. TuS Schönenberg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
