The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vito Strässer's late challenge caught a Niederbolheim SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vito Strässer helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Hinteregg FC got a freekick which was hit by Vito Strässer. Hubert Baier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute Marcel Haubold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Friedhelm Kunze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Strässer hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Marcel Haubold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hinteregg FC's Friedhelm Kunze was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With splendid footwork Marcel Haubold arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 18th minute. Friedhelm Kunze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Haubold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Neher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Burchardt having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hinteregg FC's goalkeeper Friedhelm Kunze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hubert Baier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Baier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Marcel Haubold reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Friedhelm Kunze. The goal made the score 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some careless play in the Hinteregg FC defense, Hubert Baier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Friedhelm Kunze. The Hinteregg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Friedhelm Kunze should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Martin Schleiden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hinteregg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Schleiden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ture Burchardt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Friedhelm Kunze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Baier in the 62nd minute of the match. Friedhelm Kunze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Baier, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Frank-Ulrich Jöckel kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Marcel Haubold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friedhelm Kunze having to interfere. Hubert Baier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hinteregg FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Leon Neher hit a great ball. If Marcel Haubold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Hinteregg FC's Wolf Markau seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wolf Markau the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hinteregg FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wolf Markau had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 87 minutes into the game, one of Hinteregg FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Niederbolheim SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
