Merl FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Heribert Scholl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joe Mörner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Volker Brassat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Merl FSV getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ladislaus Munderloh hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Heribert Scholl made a precise shot to the right of Joe Mörner. Döbelner SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.

The wind increased when Volker Brassat made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ladislaus Munderloh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, Döbelner SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolai Pering to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Merl FSV's Heribert Scholl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joe Mörner. That made the score 0-4 after 60 minutes of play. Joe Mörner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascal Krug's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Merl FSV got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Krug. 80 minutes into the game, Volker Brassat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Döbelner SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merl FSV the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Döbelner SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volker Brassat to maneuver through the defense. They were angered to see Döbelner SC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
