Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josef Zielonka to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Lokomotive Leipzig's Hans Breuninger threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Josef Zielonka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Josef Zielonka came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Lokomotive Leipzig fans jumped to their feet. Hans Breuninger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Lokomotive Leipzig left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than VfB Flockenbach.
