In the 11th minute Hartfrid Borchert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Mörner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's Richard Brechensbauer made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achim Bier was the one to do the kick off. Balduin Bareiß hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Joe Mörner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achim Bier in the 58th minute of the match. Joe Mörner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achim Bier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hartfrid Borchert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Joe Mörner made a huge save. Hartwin Hammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Zimmert in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 minutes, Jörg Ayim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Döbelner SC and the VfB Preussen Greppin 1911 players grew even worse after the yellow card. VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's Klemens Storz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joe Mörner but with some difficulty. Richard Brechensbauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Joe Mörner made a huge save. VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
