Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ralph Discher took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ralph Discher's late challenge caught a VfB Flockenbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralph Discher helped the player get up and apologised. Ralph Discher kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Albert Fülberth got in the 8th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Franco Drechsler handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Franco Drechsler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Fülberth in the 11th minute of the match. Kilian Harnack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ralph Discher managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Varste's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Discher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Breuninger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Fülberth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Drechsler having to interfere. FC Varste's Franco Drechsler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kilian Harnack in the 33rd minute of play. When FC Varste's Ralph Discher in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VfB Flockenbach's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th match minute, VfB Flockenbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederik Babusch to maneuver through the defense. When Ralph Discher came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Varste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralph Discher couldn't finish the play. After having played for 42 minutes, Ralph Discher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Varste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Discher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hubert Merczak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Breuninger having to make a save. If Hubert Merczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albert Fülberth was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Fülberth in the 56th minute of play forced FC Varste's goalkeeper Franco Drechsler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kilian Harnack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Fülberth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kilian Harnack got free with Franco Drechsler in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute, Christof Klingler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Drechsler made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Kilian Harnack sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Albert Fülberth took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Franco Drechsler to make any attempt to save it. Albert Fülberth struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Franco Drechsler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VfB Flockenbach. Franco Drechsler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Fülberth in the 84th minute of play. Kilian Harnack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hubert Merczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. VfB Flockenbach walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
