After a defensive mix-up in Spreeau FC's zone, Achim Bier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gülsün Baron came out of the goal and Achim Bier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Bickelhaupt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hartwin Hammer. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. If Hartfrid Borchert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Achim Bier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gülsün Baron having to interfere. Klemens Storz charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Klemens Storz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of VfB Preussen Greppin 1911:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Spreeau FC:s goal. After 38 minutes, Johannes Rombach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spreeau FC and the VfB Preussen Greppin 1911 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Johannes Rombach kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Amos Kirchberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hartwin Hammer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jörg Vielmann. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Achim Bier was the one to do the kick off. When Amos Kirchberg came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Spreeau FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Kirchberg couldn't finish the play. Amos Kirchberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hartwin Hammer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Hartfrid Borchert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartfrid Borchert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilbert Sing charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilbert Sing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VfB Preussen Greppin 1911 getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hilbert Sing hit a great ball. Amos Kirchberg struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hartwin Hammer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spreeau FC. After a rather tough play, Spreeau FC's Amos Kirchberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. Gülsün Baron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achim Bier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luis Bickelhaupt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Bickelhaupt scored 2-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hartwin Hammer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Amos Kirchberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spreeau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Kirchberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hartwin Hammer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hartwin Hammer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bickelhaupt in the 94th minute of play. Hartfrid Borchert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Spreeau FC had played much better football throughout.
