The supporters of Dondaj booed when Niedermanderscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rik Bierkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Moritz Mutke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Niedermanderscheid's Franz Borgers, in the 14th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Niedermanderscheid. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Niedermanderscheid's goalkeeper Karlheinz Sachse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dondaj's zone, Franz Borgers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egbert Jarosch came out of the goal and Franz Borgers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Franz Borgers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egbert Jarosch, 2-0. Nils Jendrossek's late challenge caught a Niedermanderscheid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils Jendrossek helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dondaj's Nils Jendrossek got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Karsten Schäfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karsten Schäfer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flavio Brandstädt kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Christian Fock sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egbert Jarosch skillfully saved the ball. Nils Jendrossek got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Dondaj getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Nils Jendrossek hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Franz Borgers notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Dondaj's Egbert Jarosch. Egbert Jarosch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Jim Reeb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franz Borgers struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Egbert Jarosch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niedermanderscheid. In the 85th match minute, Dondaj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Schäfer to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Jim Reeb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egbert Jarosch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franz Borgers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egbert Jarosch having to interfere. Dondaj's Egbert Jarosch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Borgers in the 95th minute of play.
