Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edo Meling got the match started through his kick off. Irmin Schleiermacher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lechner having to interfere. In the 5th minute Irmin Schleiermacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lechner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunther Wortmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edo Meling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Berlin Katze FC's zone, Marc Zuse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunther Wortmann came out of the goal and Marc Zuse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Berlin Katze FC booed when Sylbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Haug didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Sylbach's goal looked a bit too open when Irmin Schleiermacher came free, but David Lechner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edo Meling struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gunther Wortmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sylbach. After a defensive mix-up in Sylbach's zone, Albo Nehl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lechner came out of the goal and Albo Nehl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Lechner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Irmin Schleiermacher went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Berlin Katze FC's Gunther Wortmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Berlin Katze FC from getting a goal against them. Jost Malz charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jost Malz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Jost Malz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Hennes Backes in the 37th minute really tested Gunther Wortmann's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marc Zuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gunther Wortmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Zuse got free with Gunther Wortmann in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Berlin Katze FC's Gunther Wortmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edo Meling in the 49th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Irmin Schleiermacher to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Albo Nehl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berlin Katze FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albo Nehl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Lechner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Lechner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irmin Schleiermacher in the 56th minute of play. Albo Nehl succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 58th playminute. A collision led to Berlin Katze FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Stephan Dreßel hit a great ball. Gunther Wortmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Zuse in the 69th minute of play. David Lechner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Irmin Schleiermacher showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 70 minute of play. Marc Zuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Sylbach's Edo Meling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunther Wortmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunther Wortmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Zuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sylbach getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Edgar Pickartz hit a great ball. David Lechner made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Albo Nehl sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Zuse in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunther Wortmann saved Berlin Katze FC from getting behind. Gunther Wortmann came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sylbach's Marc Zuse. But to his dismay, Marc Zuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Sylbach's Marc Zuse in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Berlin Katze FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Sylbach supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Berlin Katze FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Berlin Katze FC.
