Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fortuna Vorderey's Felix Billmann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Eltze defense, Tobias Kanders kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josef Griese. The Eltze fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josef Griese should have stopped the shot. Josef Griese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tamino Laudi's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esau Banke during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Eltze's Esau Banke got a free kick in the 9th minute. Josef Griese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Kanders, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Tobias Kanders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Griese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tamino Laudi charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tamino Laudi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fortuna Vorderey getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tamino Laudi hit a great ball. Felix Billmann took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josef Griese. Josef Griese dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Merten Glaser in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Bunge saved Fortuna Vorderey from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Eltze's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Metzger came free, but Josef Griese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Halldor Lantz charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eltze's Josef Griese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamino Laudi in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Kanders in the 30th minute of play forced Eltze's goalkeeper Josef Griese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Felix Billmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Griese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Tobias Kanders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Griese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Bunge came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Eltze's Ingo Lütkebohmert. But to his dismay, Ingo Lütkebohmert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 39 played minutes Eltze got a freekick which was hit by Georg Drews. Ingo Lütkebohmert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Bunge having to interfere. A collision led to Fortuna Vorderey getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Robert Benken hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Merten Glaser made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Merten Glaser sped through Fortuna Vorderey's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joachim Bunge. Josef Griese was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Billmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 56 minute of play. Merten Glaser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joachim Bunge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Fortuna Vorderey's Tobias Kanders nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Griese made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. If Merten Glaser had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Fortuna Vorderey's goal looked a bit too open when Esau Banke came free, but Joachim Bunge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingo Lütkebohmert might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joachim Bunge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ingo Lütkebohmert ran back to his position shaking his head. Joachim Bunge stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Merten Glaser's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Esau Banke hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Felix Billmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Josef Griese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josef Griese made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tamino Laudi in the 92nd minute. Merten Glaser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Bunge having to interfere. The Eltze supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fortuna Vorderey's performance. The match ended with a win for Fortuna Vorderey.
