Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benni Caspary made the kick off which started today's match. STV Horst's Benny Pelzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edo Meling in the 3rd minute of play. Jaap Engert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Benny Pelzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, STV Horst's Frido Krügel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Lechner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benny Pelzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edo Meling in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, STV Horst's Frido Krügel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Benny Pelzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edo Meling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc Zuse blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benny Pelzer having to make a save. Marc Zuse made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 28thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Benny Pelzer would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörg Kolbe in the 32nd minute of play forced Sylbach's goalkeeper David Lechner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Edo Meling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Pelzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benny Pelzer came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Sylbach's Marc Zuse. But to his dismay, Marc Zuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. STV Horst's Benny Pelzer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save STV Horst from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Edo Meling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sylbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Edo Meling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benny Pelzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edo Meling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Benny Pelzer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edo Meling made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Benni Caspary left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The STV Horst fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Edgar Pickartz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Pickartz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgar Pickartz kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, STV Horst's Benni Caspary dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 61st minute, Lars Krützfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes, Sylbach's Gero Borner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benny Pelzer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sylbach reached it. After 64 minutes, Hennes Backes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sylbach and the STV Horst players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sylbach getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hennes Backes hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, STV Horst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frido Krügel to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Sylbach got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Pickartz. Edo Meling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, STV Horst's Lars Krützfeld got a free kick in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Sylbach's Hennes Backes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benni Caspary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Lechner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benni Caspary in the 78th minute of play. Benni Caspary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lechner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edo Meling in the 95th minute of play forced STV Horst's goalkeeper Benny Pelzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The STV Horst players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
