The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michael Eilenfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Balser in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Emmerich Gröber made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wartjenstedt FSV's Michael Eilenfeldt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Wartjenstedt FSV's Thilo Vogl got a free kick in the 8th minute. Wartjenstedt FSV's Crispin Glaser got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Burkau getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fox Oberhausen hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Kim Eiting shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Eilenfeldt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Michael Eilenfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmerich Gröber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Emmerich Gröber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute Crispin Glaser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Natusch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Burkau's Oskar Balser nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Eilenfeldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the Wartjenstedt FSV defense, Emmerich Gröber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Eilenfeldt. The Wartjenstedt FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Eilenfeldt should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Connor Irtel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Crispin Glaser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes Wartjenstedt FSV got a freekick which was hit by Connor Irtel. Emmerich Gröber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Crispin Glaser notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Burkau's Benny Natusch. Benny Natusch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Irtel in the 65th minute of play forced Burkau's goalkeeper Benny Natusch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Burkau's goal looked a bit too open when Crispin Glaser came free, but Benny Natusch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Connor Irtel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benny Natusch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Eilenfeldt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oskar Balser in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Connor Irtel in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benny Natusch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute, Crispin Glaser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Emmerich Gröber came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Burkau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmerich Gröber couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Wartjenstedt FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Emmerich Gröber came free, but Michael Eilenfeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crispin Glaser struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Benny Natusch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wartjenstedt FSV. Emmerich Gröber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Eilenfeldt having to interfere. The Wartjenstedt FSV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Burkau were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
