Gerold Erkeling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Borner's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Gerold Erkeling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Borner in the 6th minute of play. Marcel Galeazzi's late challenge caught a Poppendorf FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Galeazzi helped the player get up and apologised. Marcel Galeazzi kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Lars Möller got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Poppendorf FC's Till Krick got a free kick in the 11th minute. Karl Borner was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Galatasaray SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Udo Binding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Bopp having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Lars Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Möller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lars Möller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Bopp came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Poppendorf FC's Udo Binding. But to his dismay, Udo Binding quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Borner in the 28th minute of play forced Poppendorf FC's goalkeeper Gerold Erkeling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Udo Binding came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Poppendorf FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Udo Binding couldn't finish the play. In the 41stth minute of the game Karl Borner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poppendorf FC's Gerold Erkeling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Georg Rose struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dennis Bopp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poppendorf FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Ritz during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Poppendorf FC. Che Bister stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dennis Bopp. 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl Borner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerold Erkeling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Möller's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Gerold Erkeling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Möller, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Lars Möller took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerold Erkeling. Gerold Erkeling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Lars Möller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gerold Erkeling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl Borner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Georg Rose could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Dennis Bopp made a huge save. Arpad Lade kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gerold Erkeling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lars Möller's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Lars Möller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Bopp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Udo Binding in the 80th minute of play. If Georg Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Bopp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Udo Binding, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Karl Borner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Borner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerold Erkeling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Galatasaray SK's Lars Möller got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Bopp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Binding in the 91st minute of the match. Udo Binding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Poppendorf FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Borner came free, but Gerold Erkeling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Borner in the 98th minute of play forced Poppendorf FC's goalkeeper Gerold Erkeling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Poppendorf FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
