Thilo Vogl hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The supporters of Poppendorf FC booed when Wartjenstedt FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jules Volkmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Georg Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Eilenfeldt was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Udo Binding capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Udo Binding really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor Irtel in the 18th minute of play forced Poppendorf FC's goalkeeper Gerold Erkeling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Poppendorf FC defense, Crispin Glaser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerold Erkeling. The Poppendorf FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerold Erkeling should have stopped the shot. Gerold Erkeling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Crispin Glaser in the 23rd minute of play. When Knud Bauer fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wartjenstedt FSV's protests and gave Knud Bauer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Knud Bauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Connor Irtel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerold Erkeling having to interfere. In the 32ndth minute of the game Connor Irtel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poppendorf FC's Gerold Erkeling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Udo Binding was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Connor Irtel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gerold Erkeling. The goal made the score 1-2. After 54 played minutes Wartjenstedt FSV got a freekick which was hit by Thilo Vogl. In the 55th match minute, Wartjenstedt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor Irtel to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Udo Binding notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Wartjenstedt FSV's Michael Eilenfeldt. Michael Eilenfeldt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Udo Binding managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poppendorf FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Udo Binding was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Eilenfeldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Poppendorf FC's Udo Binding got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jules Volkmer hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Che Bister took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michael Eilenfeldt. Wartjenstedt FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Knud Bauer was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Knud Bauer kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Michael Eilenfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Binding in the 68th minute of the match. Simon Rösch hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Georg Rose struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Michael Eilenfeldt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poppendorf FC. Gerold Erkeling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Wartjenstedt FSV played a much better game than Poppendorf FC and deserved their victory. The Poppendorf FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
