If Imre Hasebrink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermann Bierholz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pär Brecht having to interfere. Imre Hasebrink might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pär Brecht. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caspar Kaulbach hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Austin to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes BerlinerDiavolo got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Thurow. Luis Hommertgen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Austin in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Karl Veit sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luis Hommertgen skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the match, BerlinerDiavolo's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Küpper-Adebisi came free, but Pär Brecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Hermann Bierholz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pär Brecht. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Schötmar had played much better football throughout.
