Bastiaan Keßler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Beppo Diebitsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Efraim Fleiner got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Bastiaan Keßler came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Gemünden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastiaan Keßler couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Bastiaan Keßler came free, but Beppo Diebitsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gregor Stoffmehl came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Gemünden FC fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastiaan Keßler in the 32nd minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Beppo Diebitsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trabzonspor's Beppo Diebitsch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Trabzonspor's zone, Bastiaan Keßler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppo Diebitsch came out of the goal and Bastiaan Keßler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Beppo Diebitsch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregor Stoffmehl. 40 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Bastiaan Keßler came free, but Beppo Diebitsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy Staratschek's late challenge caught a Trabzonspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Staratschek helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gemünden FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Billy Staratschek hit a great ball. In the 46th minute Gemünden FC were awarded a corner. Ersan Scheppach went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Gemünden FC's Ersan Scheppach to fire away a dangerous shot which Beppo Diebitsch despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bastiaan Keßler to strike the kick off in the second half. Ulrik Demele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ersan Scheppach was slow to take the kick. During this time Gemünden FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ersan Scheppach got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Beppo Diebitsch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Beppo Diebitsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregor Stoffmehl in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Bastiaan Keßler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 minutes, Eckard Kunzmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trabzonspor and the Gemünden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eckard Kunzmann to maneuver through the defense. Bastiaan Keßler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastiaan Keßler in the 85th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Beppo Diebitsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dankward Trienekens scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrad Skrentny, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gregor Stoffmehl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Bastiaan Keßler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Gemünden FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
