In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schötmar's goalkeeper Luis Hommertgen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Imre Hasebrink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ricky Reiser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermann Bierholz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricky Reiser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Flöge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reno Fauser kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Claudio Flöge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schötmar's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Flöge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricky Reiser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28th play minutes Claudio Flöge shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Ricky Reiser and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Flöge in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Wilde Meute's goalkeeper Ricky Reiser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imre Hasebrink struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ricky Reiser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schötmar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Flöge made a kick off. Reno Fauser's late challenge caught a Schötmar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reno Fauser helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 52 minutes, Claudio Flöge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schötmar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Flöge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
