Erwin Türkmen hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's Pierre von Stahl broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Erwin Türkmen charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erwin Türkmen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes TSV Bäumenheim got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Türkmen. Asbjörn Karger might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beppo Diebitsch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Asbjörn Karger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute, TSV Bäumenheim's Hendrik Pechmann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 18th match minute, TSV Bäumenheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hendrik Pechmann to maneuver through the defense. Asbjörn Karger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Asbjörn Karger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beppo Diebitsch was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Hendrik Pechmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Beppo Diebitsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dankward Trienekens came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Trabzonspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dankward Trienekens couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eckard Kunzmann made the kick off in the second half. Günther Menzel struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Beppo Diebitsch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSV Bäumenheim. Asbjörn Karger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppo Diebitsch having to interfere. If Dankward Trienekens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in TSV Bäumenheim fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Willibert Hengemühle was a little too slow when Eckard Kunzmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 3-4. In the 74th minute Eckard Kunzmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willibert Hengemühle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Asbjörn Karger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppo Diebitsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beppo Diebitsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik Pechmann in the 90th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dankward Trienekens got free with Willibert Hengemühle in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 97 minutes into the match, Asbjörn Karger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beppo Diebitsch. Trabzonspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Asbjörn Karger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4.
