Bero Münnecke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dietrichingen FC. In the 18th minute Tim Zahn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoltan Häusling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jona Heiden took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zoltan Häusling. Zoltan Häusling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 29 minutes into the game, Helmut Rögele cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bero Münnecke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 32 played minutes SG Groß Stieten got a freekick which was hit by Thorsten Grevenbrock. Dietrichingen FC's attentive Flo Ziege managed to snatch the ball when Gianluca Peters made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Zoltan Häusling was a little too slow when Knut Grunwald got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-2. Dietrichingen FC's Zoltan Häusling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Grunwald in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorsten Grevenbrock got free with Zoltan Häusling in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zoltan Häusling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gottfried Walter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tim Zahn was the one to do the kick off. Dietrichingen FC's Helmut Last got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Helmut Rögele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bero Münnecke having to interfere. Dietrichingen FC's Zoltan Häusling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfried Walter in the 61st minute of play. Zoltan Häusling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Bero Münnecke made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Helmut Rögele sent off a good shot on target.
