An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolai Bauer in the 9th minute of play forced Hofen FSV's goalkeeper Klemens Bilstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolai Bauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klemens Bilstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolai Bauer in the 12th minute of the match. William Mostert charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Mostert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. William Mostert hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, SPVGG Oelde's goal looked a bit too open when Maurizio Patzer came free, but Mika Hoersch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graham Gessinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klemens Bilstein having to interfere. During the 44th minute of the match Markus Thiesen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Markus Thiesen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 44 played minutes Hofen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Markus Thiesen.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stephan Lohmüller was the one to do the kick off. Stephan Lohmüller struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Mika Hoersch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hofen FSV. Klemens Bilstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolai Bauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Kurt-Jürgen Roese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mika Hoersch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Stephan Lohmüller made a precise shot to the right of Mika Hoersch. SPVGG Oelde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Hofen FSV getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Maurizio Patzer hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Graham Gessinger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Klemens Bilstein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SPVGG Oelde were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Hofen FSV's much stronger midfield.
