In the 17th match minute, Hofen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazarus Blumentritt to maneuver through the defense. Markus Thiesen hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Lazarus Blumentritt struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Paul Vielmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hofen FSV. Klemens Bilstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Bouffier, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Erno Scheider kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Hofen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hanns Haag to maneuver through the defense. Hanns Haag hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hofen FSV's Hanns Haag got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half Hofen FSV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lazarus Blumentritt to make the kick off. If Arend Abelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eckart Nöbels during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arend Abelmann's late challenge caught a Hofen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arend Abelmann helped the player get up and apologised. Paul Vielmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lazarus Blumentritt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play Hofen FSV's Hanns Haag was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of AgGrO BeRlIn booed when Hofen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hanns Haag didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Erno Scheider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klemens Bilstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erno Scheider hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Stephan Lohmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Vielmann having to interfere. AgGrO BeRlIn's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
