In the 6th minute, Pankraz Sperlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by SPVGG Oelde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emilio Gless was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Eintracht Frankfurt's players had a chance to rest. In the 11th minute of the game, Hermann Quabeck landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 13 played minutes, FC Eintracht Frankfurt's Emilio Gless shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mika Hoersch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Eintracht Frankfurt reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Graham Gessinger in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marvin Stumm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, FC Eintracht Frankfurt's Winfried Gill got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 22 played minutes FC Eintracht Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Lederer. After 23 played minutes, SPVGG Oelde's Hendrik Freudenberger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marvin Stumm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The tension between the FC Eintracht Frankfurt and the SPVGG Oelde players grew even worse after the yellow card. A nice corner shot did that Pankraz Sperlich got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mika Hoersch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th minute, Oskar Wengenroth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When FC Eintracht Frankfurt's Emilio Gless in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SPVGG Oelde's goalie prevented a goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oskar Wengenroth to make the kick off. The SPVGG Oelde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mika Hoersch should have stopped the shot. When Ingo Fritz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the FC Eintracht Frankfurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingo Fritz couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Oskar Wengenroth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mika Hoersch was relentless in the 59th minute of the game.
