Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rudi Behrisch made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Eden's goal looked a bit too open when Apollo Jacobs came free, but Torsten Thielemann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Orsfeld's zone, Henrik Link stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rouven Hemmerlein came out of the goal and Henrik Link tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th match minute, Orsfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hieronymus Labigne to maneuver through the defense. Rudi Behrisch took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rouven Hemmerlein. Rouven Hemmerlein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Torsten Thielemann was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Hernan Reinbold capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hernan Reinbold really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Torsten Thielemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apollo Jacobs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Orsfeld booed when Eden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heinrich Magath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fortunatus Mehrwald took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Torsten Thielemann. Eden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg Torsten Thielemann managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Orsfeld's Hernan Reinbold fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudi Behrisch during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Eden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudi Behrisch to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Orsfeld defense, Henrik Link kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rouven Hemmerlein. The Orsfeld fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rouven Hemmerlein should have stopped the shot. Joseph Pache's late challenge caught a Eden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joseph Pache helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Orsfeld's Joseph Pache got a free kick in the 30th minute. 33 minutes in the game, Apollo Jacobs dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Rouven Hemmerlein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi Behrisch in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Rudi Behrisch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Hemmerlein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Reinbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Torsten Thielemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Apollo Jacobs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Thielemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Apollo Jacobs made a kick off. Rudi Behrisch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rouven Hemmerlein having to interfere. In the 59th minute Hernan Reinbold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Thielemann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rouven Hemmerlein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudi Behrisch in the 60th minute of play. Hernan Reinbold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Torsten Thielemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Apollo Jacobs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Thielemann was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Torsten Thielemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Reinbold, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orsfeld's goalkeeper Rouven Hemmerlein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rudi Behrisch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rouven Hemmerlein having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Eden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingmar Kröpelin to maneuver through the defense. Fortunatus Mehrwald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrik Link fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rouven Hemmerlein having to interfere. Torsten Thielemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apollo Jacobs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Eden supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eden would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
