Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Krumpen in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Friess prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angel Friess didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascal Silen went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jacek Wesseler took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angel Friess. Angel Friess dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pascal Silen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Friess having to make a save. Karl Krumpen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Friess having to interfere. If Gilles Reitgaßl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, 1 FC Kaiserslautern's Pascal Silen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Friess made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Lev Kuhr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arvid Köppe in the 28th minute of the match. Ornecka Fighters's Angel Friess played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Krumpen in the 34th minute of play. Angel Friess made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Silen in the 35th minute of play. Angel Friess showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Silen, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute, Pascal Silen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Friess was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 1 FC Kaiserslautern's Lev Kuhr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save 1 FC Kaiserslautern from getting a goal against them. Angel Friess showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilles Reitgaßl, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Jacek Wesseler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascal Silen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Knud Lemmerz suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 61 minutes into the game, Jacek Wesseler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1 FC Kaiserslautern's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornecka Fighters the free kick. A collision led to 1 FC Kaiserslautern getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jacek Wesseler hit a great ball. After 64 minutes of play, Ornecka Fighters's Rico Tilner made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lev Kuhr was left in no man's land by his defense there! Georg Alpmann's late challenge caught a 1 FC Kaiserslautern's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georg Alpmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of 1 FC Kaiserslautern booed when Ornecka Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Alpmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gilles Reitgaßl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Gilles Reitgaßl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Friess was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Köppe in the 84th minute of play forced 1 FC Kaiserslautern's goalkeeper Lev Kuhr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ornecka Fighters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arvid Köppe charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arvid Köppe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arvid Köppe hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Arvid Köppe got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 96 played minutes Ornecka Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Köppe. The Ornecka Fighters fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1 FC Kaiserslautern were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
